Το Νέο Αιγυπτιακό Μουσείο, γνωστό ως Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM), είναι ένα από τα πιο φιλόδοξα και εντυπωσιακά πολιτιστικά έργα παγκοσμίως. Βρίσκεται κοντά στις Πυραμίδες της Γκίζας, περίπου 2 χιλιόμετρα από το οροπέδιο, και θεωρείται το μεγαλύτερο αρχαιολογικό μουσείο στον κόσμο αφιερωμένο σε έναν και μόνο πολιτισμό, αυτόν της Αρχαίας Αιγύπτου. Η κατασκευή του ξεκίνησε στις αρχές της δεκαετίας του 2000, σχεδιασμένο με μοντέρνα αρχιτεκτονική και οικολογική προσέγγιση, το GEM καλύπτει μια τεράστια έκταση 480.000 τετραγωνικών μέτρων και προσφέρει έναν εντυπωσιακό διάλογο ανάμεσα στο παρελθόν και το παρόν, με θέα στις Πυραμίδες και τον Νείλο. Στους εκθεσιακούς του χώρους φιλοξενουνται περισσότερα από 100.000 αρχαιολογικά αντικείμενα, πολλά από τα οποία θα παρουσιαζονται στο κοινό για πρώτη φορά.
