Giessbach, ο λόφος με τους καταρράκτες πάνω από τη λίμνη Brienz με το τυρκουάζ χρώμα. Φτάνουμε εδώ είτε με το ιστορικό τελεφερίκ που συνδέει την λίμνη με το Grand Hotel Giessbach (απόσταση 363 μέτρα), καθώς ήταν ιδιοκτησία του ξενοδοχείου μέχρι το 1983 και θεωρείται πως είναι το παλαιότερο τελεφερίκ της Ευρώπης, είτε με τα πόδια ακολουθώντας το πεζοπορικό μονοπάτι που ξεκινάει από τον χώρο στάθμευσης αυτοκινήτων. Το κυκλικό μονοπάτι που διαρκεί είκοσι λεπτά οδηγεί κατευθείαν στους καταρράκτες Giessbach. Σε όλη τη διαδρομή μέσα στην καταπράσινη φύση μας συνοδεύει ο ήχος των νερών. Όποια εποχή και εάν το επισκεφθούμε η εμπειρία αυτή είναι το ίδιο καταπληκτική, καθώς συνδυάζει την απαράμιλλη ομορφιά του τοπίου με τον ήχο των παφλασμών του υδάτινου στοιχείου, είναι μία απόλαυση για όλες τις αισθήσεις. Εδώ θα δούμε και το ιστορικό Grand Hotel Giessbach που χρονολογείται λίγο πριν το 1870, η θέα από εδώ των καταρρακτών είναι εκπληκτική.

Giessbach, the hill with waterfalls above Lake Brienz with its turquoise color, is accessible either by the historic funicular that connects the lake to the Grand Hotel Giessbach (a distance of 363 meters), which was owned by the hotel until 1983 and is considered to be the oldest funicular in Europe, or by foot, following a hiking trail that starts from the parking area. The circular trail, which lasts about twenty minutes, leads directly to the Giessbach waterfalls. Throughout the walk, we are accompanied by the sound of water in the lush green nature. No matter what time of year we visit, the experience is equally amazing, as it combines the unparalleled beauty of the landscape with the sound of cascading water, making it a delight for all the senses. Here, we will also see the historic Grand Hotel Giessbach, dating back to just before 1870, with an incredible view of the waterfalls from this spot.
