Η Βιβλιοθήκη Αλεξάνδρειας(Bibliotheca Alexandrina) είναι ένα εντυπωσιακό πολιτιστικό και επιστημονικό κέντρο στην Αλεξάνδρεια της Αιγύπτου, εμπνευσμένο από τη φημισμένη αρχαία βιβλιοθήκη της ελληνιστικής εποχής. Εγκαινιάστηκε το 2002 και αποτελεί μια διεθνή προσπάθεια αναβίωσης του πνεύματος της γνώσης, της έρευνας και του διαλόγου πολιτισμών. Το εντυπωσιακό κτήριο έχει κυκλικό σχήμα και είναι κτισμένο δίπλα στη Μεσόγειο, με πρόσοψη από γρανίτη, χαραγμένη με γράμματα από όλο τον κόσμο. Η βιβλιοθήκη μπορεί να φιλοξενήσει πάνω από 8 εκατομμύρια βιβλία και διαθέτει δεκάδες αναγνωστήρια, ειδικές συλλογές, μουσεία, εκθεσιακούς χώρους, πλανητάριο και ερευνητικά ινστιτούτα. Στο εσωτερικό της στεγάζεται και η μοναδική ψηφιακή αναπαραγωγή της αρχαίας Βιβλιοθήκης της Αλεξάνδρειας. Είναι κέντρο πολιτιστικών και εκπαιδευτικών εκδηλώσεων, φιλοξενώντας συνέδρια, διαλέξεις, θεατρικά και καλλιτεχνικά δρώμενα. Η Bibliotheca Alexandrina δεν είναι μόνο βιβλιοθήκη, αλλά ένας ζωντανός χώρος γνώσης και διαπολιτισμικής ανταλλαγής. Συμβολίζει τη σύνδεση του παρελθόντος με το παρόν, αναδεικνύοντας τον ρόλο της Αλεξάνδρειας ως ιστορικού σταυροδρομιού πολιτισμών και επιστήμης.
